What you don't know about David Moyes.

What you don't know about David Moyes.

Some of us were surprise at the choice of David Moyes as Alex Ferguson successor.I'm not a fan of Manchester united because of the red devils that is part of their name rather Chelsea is my club.I had... to do some background check up on David Moyes and made some amazing discoveries that will make your day;

1)Early Start.
Look at the table bellow showing his football career before he became a coach.
Youth career
1978ÍBV Vestmannaeyjar[2]
1978–1980Drumchapel Amateurs
Senior career*
YearsTeamApps†(Gls)†
1980–1983Celtic24(0)
1983–1985Cambridge United79(1)
1985–1987Bristol City83(6)
1987–1990Shrewsbury Town96(11)
1990–1993Dunfermline Athletic105(13)
1993Hamilton Academical5(0)
1993–1999Preston North End143(15)

He became a coach at Preston, working his way up to assistant manager before eventually taking over as manager in 1998, his first managerial position.

Nothing distinguish a man like knowing what you are called to do,starting early and generating result in that field consistently.

2)Staying in Power:a lot of people know how to start but cannot stay on the same thing for a long time. He's the second longest serving coach in the premiership;11years at Everton.Which was the same quality that was seen in ferguson when he was to be hired in 1986.Sir Bobby Charlton, a director who was instrumental in bringing Ferguson to United in 1986, said: "We have secured a man who is committed to the long term and will build teams for the future as well as now. Stability breeds success."

3)He didn't win any Title but he's most preferred of all those who have won all the titles in the world.Skills without faithfulness is an Army General at the battle front without bullet proof. Favor has no respect for skill the same way bullet has no respect for an Army General in the battle field. Faithfulness is a shield. The only thing affecting some people in life is their inability to be faithful in a place. They jump from pillar to post, changing mentors every day, changing job every day and changing girl friend and boy friend every day.Put order in your life.Force yourself to be faithful to an authority for years without changing such institution.Paul said;"This gospel commit to faithful and able men".;faithfulness comes before "ableness".

4)Integrity and Strong Work ethics;
Ferguson said: "When we discussed the candidates that we felt had the right attributes we unanimously agreed on David Moyes. David is a man of great integrity with a strong work ethic. I've admired his work for a long time and approached him as far back as 1998 to discuss the position of assistant manager here. He was a young man then at the start of his career and has since gone on to do a magnificent job at Everton. There is no question he has all the qualities we expect of a manager at this club."

5)He is a good Mentor: one of his star players, his old protege Wayne Rooney. The striker, who came through the ranks under Moyes at Everton.
No man is successful until you see his seed succeed better than him.In this generation where success is rated by fat account and big cars,I'm glad that Manchester United rated David Moyes because of the quality of protege he produce instead of titles won.How many people are in school because of you?How many people ate food today because of you?How many poor children in orphanages say words of prayer for you because of your impact. How many uprising youth will genuinely point at you and say coachy? We are all running to make money and forget that you can never make enough of it.Just kindly sow to others and you will reap it forever.

Bishop onces asked his protege if he knew why he created time to mentor him and his protege said no.This was his reasons; "a football star that does not retire to become a coach will soon pay to enter the same stadium others use to pay to watch him play. But if he retire to become a coach when the reigning star scores,he will point at him and say; Coachy, that way he will never loose relevance.
Practical example of this quote is;(Good example) David moyes and (Bad Example)Rashidi Yekini(last week was his 1year remembrance.May his soul rest in peace) No one can live forever but our deeds become flesh that keep our names in history forever.

I will like at this point to request for individuals and cooperate organisations who would like to volunteer to "Mentor An Orphan" in the two edition we have this year to send me an email requesting such.akintayostephen@yahoo.com

Do you have a coach? Are you coaching others?Answer this question fast before its too late.

Will be glad to help coach you in the areas of my skill.Feel free to contact me.

i don port ooo! part3-i like money

I don port ooo!-I like money part3

I don't know how much Saka had in his account before MTN contract but I can say this, not all model are qualified for such an offer that makes you 20Million Richer overnight.

There are certain factors that qualify you for such favor.

1)Diligence: Etisalat did a lot of advert since they entered Nigerian market.A lot of those advert appeal to the Literate Nigerian but ...none pigin advert appeal like that of saka to the general populace. Even their current porting advert does not command mileage like it would have if saka had done it.It shows us the power of diligence.Yes Etisalat gave me the advert platform but his diligence made the difference.Little wonder the Hewbrew proverb says;"seeth thou a man diligent in his business,he shall stand before kings and not mere men"

2)Be portable:Some of us are currently engaged in a work or business that has locked our destiny up for life.Make sure what you do allow you to be flexible enough to port any day any time.
Don't be short sighted. As far as your eyes can see will determine how far you will go.Someone else would have settled for what Eticelet was paying him even though there is room for more.
There is more on your inside and there is more for you.Don't be caged.Go for more.Don't sign stupid contracts that will cage your life and destiny.

3)Take Risk:Saka could have lost both ways if something went wrong while trying to sign over to MTN.
Some may say you like money and some may say you are too proud but don't settle for less.Import business was the first business breakthrough Dangote had;Importing Sugar,Salt,Rice and other food items but he latter saw potential in manufacturers .This gave him more pressure and trouble but was responsible for making him the Richest black man.
The higher the risk the higher the profit.Life favours the brave.Only those who take risk stay great.

I was at Raji Oba yesterday and saw the old church of Winners Chapel International. If God's servant didn't take the risk to move to Cannanland which was a bush,The Guinness world record Faith Tabernacle wouldn't have been built. You are where you are now because you are afraid to take the next step for your next level.Take that step now and you will be surprise that instead of falling,God will raise you.

I DON PORT OOO! PART2

I don port ooo!Diversify-(Part 2)

Saka, whose real name is Hafiz (Afeez) Oyetoro is one actor that is synonymous to comedy.A character he played in the much celebrated TV comedy soap opera, House Apart, the slim bodied and fair in complexion father of three.

Two things are obvious about Saka;
1)He's an ordinary guy with an ordinary name;Saka;Even his looks is so ordinary, you will never expect someone like him to become an house hold name. But God always use the ordinary to do extraordinary things. If saka can make it from a common role in a TV soap you too can make it in what you are doing no matter how common it looks, just give it an extra ordinary approach.

2)Have more than 3sources of income;saka makes money as a lecturer at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education.
,From Acting,From modeling, and don't be surprise if he start making money from Dancing.

Your poverty is not Government's fault but your inability to diversify your sources of income.Even in America there are poor people sleeping under the bridge.Invest in more businesses, train yourself in other areas. be dynamic even if you look so ordinary.Bishop Oyedepo once said,"if you call me to speak on any subject at the shortest notice,I will deliver. It was so serious that he recently found himself at a presidential function and was not aware he needed to give a speech. He had just few minutes to jot his speech and when he finished, the president asked him for the paper of his speech. You can be that dynamic and industrious.

Even a salary earner can be doing some things on the side to give you extra income. No one can ever be wealthy with a single source of income.Oprah Wilfred became famous from TV show but had to diversify before she became the wealthiest black woman.
Kirikata kirikata diversify they go!
Porting allow you change your network without loosing your number. You can add extra income without loosing your current job. Port your job now!have a great day ahead. @stephenakintayo,BB:2283dc8f.

i don PORT ooo! Part1

Have you seen the new MTN Port advert?Did you notice that the lead face Saka use to advertise for Etisalat before?I Will be sharing with you what likely went down behind the scene to cause what you will call in developed nations "Brand Scan...dal"and I will relate it to our day to day situations of costly mistakes we make.Today's edition focus on Relationships.

His decision to port to MTN after a better 20million naira deal gives us a vivid example between most single men and single ladies who will date each other for years but the guy will refuse to seal the relationship with a marriage contract. My advice to such ladies is,simply: port to the man willing to marry you.
Etisalat used Saka for years and refused to have a legal contract with him.Today they are paying heavily for it.

My sincere advice to our single ladies is, don't be foolish.Look for a man that value your worth enough to keep you for life. Not that guy that keep promising you marriage, claiming things are still tight for him.Marriage has nothing to do with being wealthy.Pastor Nike Adeyemi once shared how they got married in a one room apartment and it made sense.Remember anyone who is not willing to sign that marriage contract doesn't value your worth. The same way Etisalat was despising Saka despite the mileage his adverts has generated for them,if that guy refused to want you beyond a while,if he refuse to marry you.You want my advice;" make you port ooo!"

Lastly, once you see a guy that sign that deal, give it your best. You saw how Saka danced a 20million naira dance in the new MTN Port advert. He never danced in such a way for Etisalat.Once the guy put pen on paper, give him the best of your life.He deserves it.

This is a special information to all my friends, you better value me now before I port ;carry go.The question remains are you satisfied with your boyfriend or girlfriend or you intend to port like saka?Have a splendid week ahead!God bless you.@stephenakintayo

My name is Stephen, I'm not a Boko Haram part(1)

My name is Stephen, I'm not a Boko Haram part (1)

I spent the 80's and 90's in Maduiguri my birth place. Bulunkuto,Taision Kano,Army barrack were places I was raised in that city.I remembered my first school was an islamic school where I ...learnt arabic.

I was born to a christian family but always shared what Christian's called the grace in islamic language when we resume school and when we close from school.

Many times I used my T fair for lunch and had to trek home in the hot sun of Borno state.I must say here that my lineage is not as dark as I am,the hot sun of that state made me so.

As I'm writing this reflection article I can only ask;why is the place I used to call home bomb down? For what gain and for what purpose?I find myself thinking of what my fate would have been if I were to still be in the north.Only God can answer that. How many of my class mate might be members of the set?Only God knows.

One thing however that I know was that all this was preventable. As little as I was, I knew there was maginilization .I knew no human being deserve to live an Aalmagiri life.It was so painful that I made a vow as a child to do something about it.

I must confess that not much has been done to help this set of people personally. The foundation I'm privilege to have founded has impacted over 2000 orphans in the last 5years.The Foundation's branch in Kaduna comprising more of students from ABU Zaria has done a lot of outreach in orphanages in remote parts.Yet, I still feel sad.

I remember once having few millions and said in my heart,if I neglect this kids and buy a car,may that be the last million I ever handle. Why should you have local government money, state or federal money and spend it on you and your family when children are suffering? Why should you be comfortable building 10houses for yourself and people hail you without building any hospital or school for the public?

If I ever want to make money in this world, its not to impress anyone but to impact men.
Looking at this issues genuinely,I see that the source of our problem is Greed and lack of Mentors.

A country that does not have a vision nor mission will end up in corruption.
A country that has nothing she is looking at becoming will end up a trash.

Even boko haram has a vision; To Islamize Nigeria. What is Nigeria's Vision? When you don't know where you are going, anywhere will look like it.

Greed
Quote me anywhere,Jonathan,PDP is not our problem. You and I are the Problem.Tinubu nor CAN nor APC cannot change this nation either, you can!A political leader whose firm tasks 25% of task payers money will not change Nigeria.

Our collective enemy is SELF!Greed means putting your personal comfort above the collective.A nation where the average youth is crying, let me just get a job and enjoy my life will not grow.Is it wrong to want a job? No! but are you the only one that needs a job?And will your getting a job solve our collective problem? No!but we seldom think like this; What can I do to provide job not just for me but for those around me?

If I don't have the skill, can I go and get it instead of more professional exams that may not add anything to me except papers. We saw a man in Otunba Gadaffi whose impact in DMT was greater than being a personal body guard for MKO.He made a name when he created solution for the collective;Mobile Toilets.

You will see how Governors of states react to national issues that does not directly affect them, once it get to them, they react.

You see churches shouting money and building more buildings instead of Universities, instead of workshops to give skills.God does miracle but will still want you to acquire skill for it.Paul was louder than other apostles because he was more learned. Not just anointing but knowledgeable anointing give extraordinary accomplishment.Pastors are shining and members are dying.

Sultan's are blabbing when northern Nigeria is crumbling. Why all this? They are our sons, don't name them terrorist.

I long to see a nation where an hausa man will die to defend an Igbo man.A nation where we see our Nation bigger than our tribe, religious or self.A nation where sentimental considerations for political appointments die and only technocrats come into power.

Will continue tomorrow.God bless you and Nigeria.Am not a Boko haram!

My name is Stephen, I'm not a Boko Haram part(2)
I grew up in a traditionally respectful home.we had a culture of respect so much that every younger sibling call the older one "Boda" so and so.The size of our meal is determined by seniority. And this remind me of the typical Nigeria way of life;the older 10% feed on 90% of the national resources and leave the younger generation with left overs. The old oppress the young.National cake is shared according to your title and portfolio and not your impact.

Nigeria is said to have been the most religious country in the world.yet all that has not translated into good conscience which is the mother of good governance. Rather we have birth extremist at the bottom of the ladder whom we feed off their misery.Hence, everyone answer to who feeds him or her and not who made us.

My heart id full of questions that only God can answer.
Why does the Rich take from the poor? Why does the powerful oppress the powerless? Why will a father find it hard to say sorry to his son even when proven guilty? Why will Murderers gain amnesty and hard working young citizen rot in prison cell for something he is innocent of?Why will illiterate armed men(Boko Haram,Niger Delta Militants,OPC) get 75,000 naira,100,000,over 2 billion respectively and an NYSC Corp member get 19,800?The Why can go on and on.

Worthy of note however was that,it is a generational Sin that naturally pass itself on from one generation to another in Africa. It has eaten deep into all spheres of society because of the lack of good conscience.our conscience is dead and we have decided to keep it dead forever .I have heard young people say; "when i get there,i will do the same.i will eat all i can for myself and my family".That had been the cycle of event for years now but things are about to change around here.

An ancient Hebrew story talks about a young man named Joseph who was sent to the wrong place by the wrong people for the wrong reason. This young lad had a dream of a better future. No one believed his Dream but God did.Everything was falling apart for Joseph but his Dream was very much Alive.Even when he found himself in prison for crime he did not commit he refuse to give up on his dream and that dream made a prime minister out of a prisoner.

I have a dream today!I see a day when Africans will not class themselves by Age nor title nor portfolio but by knowledge and character.I see a day when Nigeria will not be afraid of Boko Haram but that people will even fear to mention the name of any terrorist group as it will be a taboo and they will be alien entities.i see a day when Pride will give way to posterity.A day when my son will mention seven role model and Nigerians will be 5 in that number.A day when everyones  voice and opinion will be  heard without them using Guns to enforce their will on Government.

Conclusively,i want to encourage our youth that their is hope for this nation as long as we keep our dreams alive.you may not have a job today but soon, you will have thousands of people in your pay roll. You may look small now but greatness is on your inside.Soon the difference will be clear who the future belong to.No matter the challenge you face, keep hope alive. It will soon be your turn.I leave you with this illustration; Life is like a ladder, some are at the bottom while some are in the middle and others at the top.soon those at the top will start coming down and those in the middle will be at the top and the bottom become middle. It is just a matter of time before the person at the  bottom ladder gets to the top ladder.

You may look like no body today. Right at the bottom of the ladder but very soon you will be lifted to the top.Only those who connect the top and bottom ladder when in the middle ever becomes great.God bless you!
